soup lady 2004-01-08 | 5:42 p.m. Am feeling very self-efficacious as am in the process of making minestrone soup - from scratch, not even from a tin (!!) and it smells AMAZING. Have actually done it all - cut up the veggie's, sauteed, brew, stew etc and it's all lovely jubbly! Was thinking of you, sickly Eleanor, when making it although by the time I next see you I could bet $100 there will be none left. My goal is to try and cook something eveyr other day whilst the Mutti is away so I can have a basic repetoire, so far consisting of pizza and minestrone from scratch. Bruder and Mutti left today which explains the DomesticLaura change, lovely having house to self without guitar blaring from Jimmybob's room and Mum screeching at me downstairs. Ahh, bliss. Although I have a nice girlyLaura weekend planned, full of haircuts and shopping so am looking forward to that as well. Highlight of the day: meeting Xoil's hot man friend from Australia who looks like her cousin: the same (Jewish) nose - freaking amazing, they are quite large - blue eyes and curly hair. Mouthes dropped when he walked into the common room/sauna as it is nowadays. Mmmm. Love the solitary life, and goddamn that soup smells delicious. |
