The Ming Theory

Talking over bloodyboy situation with K - it does make you a bad personne fool! Then onto more theories: The Ming Theory.

The theory started off with noting that handsome men (i.e the alien in 'Taken') end up with complete mingers. This initially gave us some hope, as hopefully handsome men will be attracted to us. However, we soon realized that this pattern was, some might say, UNIVERSAL. In every couple (with some exceptions) there is a byootiful person....and an ugly one. This applies to friendships, relationships etc and anywhere where 2 people meet.

Just like the Chinese philosophy of Yin and Yang that equal but opposite parts form a whole, perhaps the best couples are those with opposite characterstics. We're looking at couples such as Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas (what was she thinking? He's old enough to be her Vati!), couples such as me and K (obviously she is the looks deficient one) and me and Will (again, do we even need to ask?) :D But the worst one, as K pointed out, is Billie and Chris Evans (erlack, what on earth possessed her?)

In terms of personality, the same thing could apply - you get on best with someone with different characteristics to yourself. Obviously I don't know Ms. Zeta-Jones personally (Michael Douglas beat me by a hairs breadth) but I would bet that she is outgoing and lively, and he is quieter (because he is decrepped and old, but no differnce).

And me and K. She is wonderfully quirky and down to earth when I can be all up in the air getting myself worked up. She has a happy attitude to life, whereas on a good day I can be depressingly pessimistic. We balance eath other out well, and so k + l = happiness.

Anyway, enough quasi raving and ranting, back to watching lovely aliens running away and army men chasing them aorund. Hurrah for the Summer Holidays!
